| Our holiday luncheon was held on Thursday, December 4th at The Torrington Country Club and was attended by 40 members who enjoyed a delicious lunch, visiting with friends and singing songs of the season along with Tom Hanford of Goshen who performed holiday songs that were popular when our club was founded in 1933. He very carefully researched the history of each song and presented some very interesting and humorous facts. Thanks, Tom for a most entertaining afternoon! President, Marilyn Shull thanked many members for their involvement with club activities throughout the year expressing her appreciation for all of their hard work. In lieu of presenting gifts to members it was decided to make a donation to Goshen Community Care & Hospice, Inc. Newly-elected officers for 2009 Arlene Stewart, Nancy Karnolt and Carl Contadini were inducted by past president of our club, Betty Cosgrove.
